True North is a series of responses to conventional mapping systems to observe the transient nature of orientation drawing from Sarah Ahmed’s Queer Phenomenology and its relative spatial arrangements. These eight maps form disorientation strategies that deviate from linear paths, encouraging lines of desire and queered perceptions of space. Documented through performance, mixed media mapping and walking, 'True North' notes the endless paths one can take through space and how we understand place.
